The problem is there are so few items for sale that actually getting the opportunity to buy points is extremely limited.

$330 for 30,000 points = $11.00 per 1,000 points (54 sets).
$415 for 40,000 points = $10.38 per 1,000 points (only 30 sets for sale).
$775 for 72,000 points = $10.77 per 1,000 points (only 25 sets).
Hyatt loyalty members can buy 1 set of points from each sale (if you have the luck of a lottery double winner).
Choice Privileges points with over 1,000 sets of points for sale on Friday April 28 were on hold by buyers in first second of Daily Getaways sale.
