Club Carlson has a spring bonus promotion for triple points (60 points/$1) + 5,000 points for stays Sunday and Monday night. The Sunday/Monday bonus is additive for 10,000 bonus points, if you stay both nights. Bonus points earned are capped at 100,000 bonus points for the promotion.
Quick math: 40 bonus points per $1 = $2,500 earn limit for 100,000 bonus points. Then, subtract $125 for each Sunday and Monday night 5,000 bonus points earned. There are 12 Sunday and 12 Monday dates during promotion (120,000 potential points), so potentially this offer would max out weeks before the promotion ends for someone staying every Sunday and Monday.
Still, a good promotion that most of us can earn without consideration to the 100,000 points limit.
Loyalty Traveler Analysis
I am sitting in a Lithuanian pub drinking Kalnapilis lager as I analyze this deal with consideration to booking Club Carlson hotel stays for a trip to Europe in June. I know my wife will love visiting Gdansk, Poland.

My choice is redeem 76,000 Club Carlson points and have two free hotel nights or spend $202 and earn 15,000 hotel points.
Radisson Blu Gdansk, Poland is on Long Street Market Square in the center of city tourism area.
Radisson Blu Klaipeda, Lithuania is 15,000 points for a free night. The rates that same week are 107 EUR ($114) per night.
For $202, I can earn 15,000 points and then redeem those points for a $114 room night. My nightly rate for three nights at Radisson Blu hotels is $67/night.
The 76,000 points I save by paying for Radisson Blu Gdansk buy another 5 reward nights in Klaipeda or 8 reward nights at Club Carlson category 1 Park Inn Kaunas, Lithuania.
The triple points + Sunday/Monday bonus looks like a good buy in this case for me.
I have convinced myself in this Lithuanian pub analysis that it is worthwhile for me to study Club Carlson hotel rates in different places in June to find great Sunday and Monday night hotel value for our trip to Europe.
On the other hand, I also made this analysis for hotel stays in Lithuania and Riga, Latvia during this next week and I think the hotel deals I already booked are better value than switching my hotel stays to Club Carlson for bonus points.
You need to make your own cost-benefit analysis of the value of this promotion for your travels.
The Real Deal
The real Club Carlson deal here for the budget traveler seems to be focus on Sunday and Monday night stays, rather than triple points. Those two nights earning 5,000 bonus points per night is where the bigger bonus happens, unless you are spending big for your hotel stay. As I mentioned earlier, earning 5,000 bonus points on a Sunday or Monday night is equivalent to $125 in base hotel spend.
