#24HrsOfRadissonSweepstakes on Twitter is a 24 hour campaign with hourly prizes for entries from 9am CT, January 1 to the last entry period from 8am-9am Monday, January 2.  Each hour has a minimum prize of one Radisson e-certificate good for a 2-night stay in the Americas region. E-certificate expires December 31, 2017.

The biggest remaining prizes are in the final two hours of the sweepstakes at 7-8 and 8-9am Monday January 2 with two e-certificates (4 free nights) awarded to the winner. You can enter once each hour and each entry only applies to that hourly sweepstakes. Prize winners will be drawn January 5, 2017.

    For ten years I have made the claim that most hotel loyalty programs are similar for earning points per dollar spent. The difference is in the promotions offered during the time you stay.

    I think IHG is one of the best chains for earning points in Portugal and Spain due to low average hotel rates. Combined with bonus points promotions, IHG is a chain where you can rack up a lot of points with a large selection of hotels around these countries.

    IHG is increasing points for several Portugal hotels by 10,000 more points per reward night on Jan 15, 2017.

    Marriott has loads of hotels in Spain with 75, mostly AC brand properties.

    Either chain is good for earning points you can redeem in other places where there are better hotel points value for reward nights.
