Today I registered for Best Western Rewards new promotion for a $10 Travel Card per stay from November 28 thru January 29, 2017. I have a reservation in three weeks at a Best Western in Austria for 51 EUR per night. That is $54.09 USD for a hotel night with a $10 BWR gift card rebate.
Best Western Rewards promotion registration required prior to first eligible stay. There is no limit to the number of $10 BW Gift Cards earned during promotion period.
Main limitations of this promotion:
- Best Western Rewards $10 Gift Card/Travel Card is only good for Best Western Hotels credit.
- Card expires 120 days after issuance.
- Best Western Rewards Members who reside in North America may stay at a Best Western branded hotel worldwide.
- Best Western Rewards Members who reside outside of North America must stay at a Best Western branded hotel in North America.
Also, reward nights do not count as an eligible stay per BWR Terms for free night stays.
Best Western was the most convenient hotel at a bargain price for a hotel night I need in Austria. I also have a 3-night reward stay reservation at a Best Western Premier upscale hotel for this upcoming trip, but my original 5 nights booked at Best Western hotels in Austria and Poland are being scaled back to 3 nights to take advantage of the IHG Rewards Club promotion for $50 to $100 Mastercard gift card (IHG gift card offer is good for any type of purchase, not just IHG hotels).
Best of all for my stays is my $54 Best Western room is already a free night based on a $100 BWR travel card I earned earlier this year with an approved Best Rate Guarantee claim at a Dallas DFW airport hotel in June. I booked a $126.49 after tax rate at a Best Western in Irving for an overnight at DFW before flying home to California. My best rate guarantee claim was approved, dropping the room rate from $126 down to $92 after tax. A couple weeks later I received a $100 e-voucher.
This month will be my first Best Western hotel stay since June and I will use that $100 credit for a $54/night hotel reservation in Austria.
- $92 Best Western DFW hotel stay (June 2016).
- Earned $100 Best Western travel credit (June 2016).
- $54 Best Western Austria hotel stay (Dec 2016).
- Pay with $100 BW credit. $46 credit remaining.
- Earn $10 travel card.
- $56 BW credit remains.
Final Tally: Spent $92 at a Best Western hotel in June and after two hotel nights, I will still have $56 travel credit remaining. I need to keep in mind that $10 BWR travel card must be used for a hotel night by end of April.
In February, I will send my wife home to California from Amsterdam while I travel somewhere else in Europe for a week. I still have no ticket back to the USA purchased yet.
Paris has been whispering in my ear to come for a more extensive visit than I have managed in past travels.
