Singapore Airlines has an interesting low fare from Houston to Bali, Indonesia DPS flying over the Atlantic to Manchester, UK MAN to Singapore to Bali for only $625 round trip. This deep discount economy ticket is one for the price and not the miles, since only 10% miles are given for SQ economy V in Singapore KrisFlyer or SAS Eurobonus for the 25,121 flight miles. Then again, that is about the same number of miles a non-elite flyer would earn flying United Airlines on at this ticket price.
Unfortunately, this fare does not seem to show up on Google Flights calendar or ITA Matrix, so the easiest way to search is using the weekly fare calendar on the Singapore Airlines site.
