Delta is hitting United Airlines/Star Alliance on its New York – Frankfurt route with fares at $597 round trip for departures from first week of September to the end of June with the exclusion of Dec 9 – Jan 7 dates. United (from EWR) and Lufthansa (from JFK) have the same $597 fares and all these airlines fly nonstop to Frankfurt.
The real deal here is the opportunity to book a summer 2017 departure as late as June 29 with a July return for peak summer travel to Europe.
