There is a mini fare war happening between American and United over Miami and Fort Lauderdale routes from Denver, Dallas and Houston. Denver is the real competitive price here with both AA and UA offering $77 one way fares for midweek and weekend travel for Denver-Miami compared to $89 Frontier fares. United has discount rates August and September, while American offers $77 fares from August to November. Delta is not playing for this route.
United has an even better deal for Denver-Fort Lauderdale FLL at $74 one-way for nonstop flights.
United also hits American at Dallas DFW with $54 one way DFW-MIA and reverse. AA is $152 for DEN-MIA, except for a lone date Aug 10 with an $89 DFW-MIA nonstop flight.
Dallas – Fort Lauderdale is another route in competition with American $45 one way and United at $54.
United doubles down with Houston-FLL/Miami at $73 to $84 one way, while Delta is $112 and American $116. United low fares are only available on some dates in August-September.

Looks like some good deals for a late summer/fall cruise/beach trip.
