Low fares today with Air China and United Airlines from New York JFK or Newark EWR to several cities in Asia are pricing in the $500s round trip to Manila, Bangkok and Singapore with Air China and Ho Chi Minh City on United Airlines. Several more cities price in low $600s with Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
Google Flights is a bit inaccurate on these Air China fares. Most of these Air China deals show higher fares in the $700s on the fare map when Google Flights is filtered for Star Alliance, then show lower Air China ticket prices when a city is selected. Then the fare is even lower on Air China website when fare search selected.
There are some good deals from New York/Newark. The United flights price correctly on Google Flights map.
