This ticket caught my eye for Los Angeles to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia on the island of Borneo in the state of Sabah. There are tickets pricing out at $575 round trip for on Orbitz.com and OTA sites for Los Angeles LAX flying Delta Airlines to Seattle and Incheon Airport, Seoul, South Korea and connecting to an Asiana flight direct to Kota Kinabalu. The real deal here is these tickets allow you to pick up miles in both SkyTeam and Star Alliance programs.
Departure Dates: primarily October-November with a few dates in December and January.

One of these days I might make it to Borneo
I had a reservation booked at Hyatt Regency KK last November, then canceled my trip and ate the loss on a $369 ticket from San Jose SJC to Kuala Lumpur when I felt like I had been away from home too much in the previous two months. That was the second time I canceled a trip to Sabah after an aborted trip in 2000. I still have not been to Malaysia. One of these days I might make it to Borneo.
