An article I read this morning in USA Today talked about the high expense of medical care and rehabilitation for the shooting victims of the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting June 12, 2016. As is often the case when a tragedy happens, people look for ways to help.
Choice Privileges will give $5 to the National Compassion Fund for every 1,000 points any member wishes to donate through July 20, 2016. There is no limit to the number of points a member can donate. 100% of the funds will go directly to the victims of the Orlando tragedy.
Help the victims and their families in the Orlando community that experienced the devastating act of violence on June 12, 2016. For each 1,000 Choice Privileges points you donate through July 20, 2016, $5 will be given to the National Compassion Fund.* You can donate as many times as you want through July 20. 100% of the funds received will be distributed directly to victims in Orlando.
Contributions to the National Compassion Fund are held separate from general donations to the National Center of Victims of Crime. For 30 years, this organization has been the most comprehensive national resource committed to advancing victims’ rights and helping victims of all types of crime rebuild their lives. Find out more about the National Compassion Fund.
Donate your Choice Privileges points by July 20 and provide support for those in need.
Please be respectful of the Orlando situation and do not debate in comments to this post on whether this is a fair trade value of points for charity.
Every donation helps.
I do not see a direct link to this offer. I received an email and it is on Choice Hotels Facebook and the Donate Now button goes to Choice Privileges website for ‘redeem points/donations category.
