Fares available today from New York JFK and Newark EWR to numerous airports in Europe for prices in the high $400s – low $500s are available for weekend trips of 3 days with Delta and United for travel September to December. Many of these routes are $200 to $300 higher for longer trips and some routes like Paris are under $500 round trip for 3 days trips or longer stays. These fares are mostly for departures on Friday or Saturday with a return on Sunday or Monday. Some routes have Thursday departure dates too.
Some of these routes had fares in low $400s earlier this week, but this sale today is different in that it allows weekend mileage runs at low fares. I think these low fares will likely expire late Sunday when the Icelandair 96-hour sale ends for New York flights to Paris and London and other cities. These mileage run deals are also available from Washington D.C. and Chicago. Those two airports are better value than New York since fares this low are less frequent from those places. Still, there are some good deals available today with United and Delta if you want a quick trip to Europe to earn elite miles and redeemable miles.
