June 1 – 10am Pacific – looks to me like Oneworld Business Class deal is gone from all airports. Look for my upcoming post on economy fare AARP discount fares.
British Airways business class fares are available right now for around $1,100 to $1,300 to Rome and several other airports in Italy and Malta with the deep discount biz class fare war between American and Delta launched today. AARP members get $400 discount on British Airways fares. This reduces the price of an already deeply discounted British Airways Business Class ticket from San Francisco to Rome from $1,635 round trip to $1,235 round trip.
This is a follow-up post to the American and Delta Business Class fare sale today from several airports across the USA. The basic deal right now is there are low business class fares from either American or Delta at the following airports.
- San Francisco SFO
- Houston IAH
- Washington IAD/DCA/BWI
- Denver DEN
Delta is attacking Oneworld and United airports in Europe and American is attacking SkyTeam airports in Italy and Malta with low business class fares. This is a fare war to watch. I anticipate it will expand over the next few hours.
Update 11:49pm Pacific – There are no new areas for low fares from American/British Airways that I see. Low fares are still only to Italy and Malta.
The main development in the past couple hours is Delta added low business class fares to Germany from many more USA cities like New York JFK/EWR, MIA, SEA, PDX, LAX, ORD and likely others.
British Airways $1,235 round trip San Francisco to Rome
British Airways $1,110 round trip Washington IAD/DCA to Rome
