IHG Rewards Club has two summer promotions for bonus points, IHG Share Forever and IHG Accelerate. A third summer promotion for IHG Rewards Club miles earners is IHG Double Up. Both of the bonus points promotions offer IHG Rewards Club bonus points for meeting individual member target goals of a certain number of hotel nights. Goals are generally based on your stay history with IHG.
IHG Double Up is double miles for IHG Rewards Club members with earning preference set to miles.

IHG Double Up (for Mile Earners) June 1 – August 31, 2016
IHG Double Up is open to all IHG Rewards Club members worldwide who select miles earning preference for their account.
This promotion offers double miles for each hotel stay. A maximum 10,000 bonus miles may be earned during promotion. There are nearly 30 airline partners. Most airline partners earn 2 miles per $1 spent at most IHG hotel brands, except one mile per $1 for Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites, IHG’s extended stay hotel brands. You would have to spend at least $5,000 during the promotion to max out at 10,000 bonus miles.
Check the earning rate for your preferred airline partner since there are some airlines with different earning rates. You can check the earn rate for each airline partner at IHG Rewards Club.
For example, British Airways only earns 1 mile per $1 for Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands. If BA is your partner airline, you may want to switch airline partner preference, prior to checking into a HI/HIX brand, for an alternate airline partner earning 2 miles/$1.
