Choice Privileges stay two times for 8,000 points May 12-Aug 18, 2016

Choice Privileges summer 2016 promotion May 12 to August 18 is the same offer the loyalty program usually runs for 8,000 points after two stays, except this version has the added feature for members who want to redeem 8,000 points for a $50 gift card with a partner retailer like Amazon, Shell, WalMart and Macy’s, to name a few. This is a 50% discount on the normal redemption rate of 16,000 points for a $50 gift card.

One of the big values of this promotion for infrequent Choice Privileges guests are 8,000 points in your account allows you to buy more points through Points Plus Cash rewards at the rate of $7.50 per 1,000 points. I used the last Choice Privileges promotion for 8,000 points to go from no points to 9,000 points (with mid-week stay bonuses and elite bonus points) in two $40 per night hotel stays in Monterey. I checked into a Rodeway Inn one night, took a look at the room and went home. The next day I repeated with a $40 stay at the EconoLodge Monterey across the street. Two nights for $85 after tax earned 9,000 points and I was able to book the Quality Inn Stockholm Arlanda Airport for a night in April. That hotel upgraded me to a suite and my 10,000 points reward night purchased a $200 room night in Sweden.

  1. Big change also is now the economy brands, Rodeway, Econo, 1 night is a “Stay” instead of 2.
And tack on the $5 Starbucks bonus per midweek night, and your doing alright. Too bad their CS is so terrible if you have a question, or an error on points delay turns up.

Currently on the website “upcoming reservations” from 2 different PC’s, my booking all show 1 day earlier than the actual date I booked. If I click on details, it’s correct, and in my iOs app it’s correct. No answer from them. annoying when you book for 4-5 weeks at a time.
