AA and UA low fares to Europe from Phoenix, like $695 London Xmas

In what is now day four of a winter sale fare war to Europe, I am looking at Phoenix for the first time. United still seems to be hitting American hub airports hard with low fares in the $600s to many airports across Europe.

American is competing in Phoenix, especially for Spain and London markets. United has several low fares in the $500s and $600s. Between AA and UA flights, there are still ,many airports in Europe priced in the $600s round trip from Phoenix.

Departure dates for these fares are November 2016 to March 2017.

You can even get to London for Christmas for $673 Dec 14-28 round trip with Delta and Virgin Atlantic, if you have a couple weeks for travel. But that is a two-stop itinerary via Salt Lake City and Las Vegas on Delta before the Virgin flight from LAS. British Airways flies nonstop from Phoenix and fares are as low as $695 round trip Dec 14-28 over Christmas.

British Airways  Phoenix PHX – London LHR

$694.86  Wednesday December 14 – Wednesday December 28

PHX-LHR $695 Dec 14-28 AA

Here are some other fares from Phoenix showing example airports and low fares for early November and December holiday period travel..

United $523 Dublin DUB Nov 2-9 (AA and DL are over $1,000 round trip in November)

United $675 Budapest BUD Nov 2-9

United $669 Milan MXP Dec 14-27

American $701 Athens ATH Dec 14-27

United $702 Athens ATH Dec 14-28

American $715 Athens ATH Dec 27 – Jan 4

Air Canada $660 Rome FCO Dec 27 – Jan 4

American $608 Madrid MAD Dec 27 – Jan 4

American $666 Lisbon LIS Dec 27 – Jan 4

These are examples showing the fare war is still on in Phoenix, but waning as the competition between AA, DL and UA is decreasing for markets in Europe.
