AA and UA SFO to Dublin, Ireland $750 for May departures

I don’t consider $750 round trip for San Francisco to Dublin to be a low fare to Ireland most of the year, but this is one of the best deals now for travel to Europe in late May before summer fares kick in and ticket prices are generally over $1,000 round trip. American and United both have SFO-DUB on sale for $749 to $761 for several departure dates in May. This is a good deal for someone like a college student on summer break who wants a long trip traveling in Europe since the return date can be most dates in June, July or August, while staying around $750 round trip.

Here are two examples for a 10-day trip and a 2-month trip with these fares.

United Airlines San Francisco SFO – Washington IAD – Dublin DUB (United operated flights)

Dublin DUB – Frankfurt FRA – San Francisco SFO (Lufthansa operated flights)

$779.56  Monday May 30 – Wednesday July 20, 2016

SFO-DUB $780 UA May 30-Jul20

American Airlines San Francisco SFO – Charlotte CLT – Dublin DUB

$757.66  Tuesday May 17 – Thursday May 26

SFO-DUB AA $758 May 17-26

SFO-CLT-DUB-PHL-SFO = 11,810 flight miles for AAdvantage.

Again this is only a deal for last minute planners. San Francisco to Dublin route on March 30 was selling for only $581 round trip on AA for July travel and Delta and United followed suit the next day, March 31. I posted both of those deals.
