Fare Alert: United SEA-MEL/SYD-LAX $391 round trip

United Airlines has a real deal to Sydney, Australia for west coast flyers. United Airlines and Delta have an active fare war today with United Airlines low fares from several airports around the USA, primarily Delta hubs. Delta Airlines has San Francisco to Australia at $580 round trip.

Seattle is the main west coast airport for low United Airlines fares around $495 round trip.

The deal is you can ticket an open jaw on United Airlines flying Seattle to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with a return to Los Angeles LAX and the price drops to under $400 round trip. You only need to purchase an additional one way ticket from LAX  to SEA to get a low round trip fare from LAX to Australia.
