These are really low fares out of TIJ Tijuana. If flying from Mexico is disconcerting, there is also a low Aeromexico fare out of Las Vegas LAS to Santiago, Chile SCL at $543 round trip and bookable on Aeromexico website. In my searches the one-way prices are higher than the final round trip ticket price.
