American Airlines Vancouver to Paris $502 USD in Spring; $694 USD in Summer

American Airlines currently has the lowest fares at $502 USD round trip for Vancouver YVR to Paris CDG via Dallas DFW for travel from late March into May. This routing is 13,400 flight miles. The price rises to around $600 round trip for June departures.

Even better could be the $694 USD round trip fares YVR-CDG in July and August. Those summer ticket prices are hundreds of dollars less than flying from a US western states airport in July.

For example, the lowest fare from San Francisco SFO to Paris in July is Aeromexico at $1,084 round trip flying via Mexico City. Low cost carrier WOW is $1,300 round trip in July for SFO-Paris.

Lowest fare in July from Seattle to Paris is Icelandair for nearly $1,200 round trip. You can get to Vancouver from Seattle for a lot less than $500 in July.

Aeroflot is the low fare in July from Los Angeles to Paris via Moscow for $1,039 round trip.

Departing from Vancouver is an option for reducing the price of travel to Europe this spring or summer and picking up valuable American Airlines flight miles before their move to revenue-based frequent flyer miles earning later in 2016..

YVR-CDG AA $694 July5-12

YVR-LHR-CDG-BOS-LAX-YVR = 12,080 flight miles.

There are even lower fares around $667 round trip in July for Vancouver YVR-CDG Paris flying on a British Airways ticket, but that means fewer earned elite miles for AAdvantage earners.

A good strategy to keep in mind when you need to travel to London, Paris and Germany is the ticket price is often several hundred dollars less when you start your European travel in Canada from Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal. From many airports in the USA, the cost to fly to Canada on a paid ticket or miles ticket will still save quite a bit compared to USA ticket prices to Europe.
