Marriott Rewards is hosting their partner Universal Music Group (UMG) during the SXSW festival this week at JW Marriott Austin, Texas when the hotel becomes a concert venue. The headline show at 8pm on Wednesday, March 16 features Ryan Adams and Avett Brothers.

Marriott Rewards members can receive special complimentary access to these performances by showing their member number on the Marriott Mobile app to gain entry, regardless of whether or not they have SXSW badges.
Other scheduled performers during the week include more than 20 of UMG’s new artists at “Music is Universal†daytime showcases, also held at the JW Marriott Austin starting at 12PM on both March 17 and March 18.
Thursday’s showcase includes Beau, DNCE, Grizfolk, Gryffin, Kacy Hill, Grace Mitchell and The Strumbellas, with performances on Friday from Banners, BJ The Chicago Kid, Cloves, Niykee Heaton, Joseph, Snarky Puppy and Vince Staples.
Music fans not in attendance at the 2016 SXSW Music Festival will still have the opportunity to engage with exclusive UMG content, including performance by artists via Marriott Rewards’ digital, social, and in-room channels. Exclusive content including artist interviews and behind-the-scenes footage will live on Marriott Rewards’ digital entertainment hub, http://thatsrewarding.marriott.com/, and will also be available on-demand through Marriott’s in-room entertainment platform at select hotels.
Marriott Rewards members can also get ten free song downloads from UMG with Marriott Rewards New Music Fridays.
