American $40 one-way LAX/SAN-DFW, $58 SFO-DFW

American Airlines is matching or undercutting Spirit fares on several routes between Dallas DFW and western states airports. There are far more dates for low fare departures from California airports to Dallas DFW than from DFW to California.

  • Los Angeles LAX to Dallas DFW $40.10 one way
  • San Diego SAN to Dallas DFW $40.10 one way
  • San Francisco to Dallas DFW $58.10 one way

Departure Dates: Most low fares are Tuesday and Wednesday with some Saturdays in February into May 2016. Low fares from San Diego at $40 to $59. $40 fares begin first week of March for LAX and SAN departures.

DFW – LAX has $40 fares in early March, $59 fares in February and fares rise to $79 one way for April and May.

DFW-SAN is $48 to $58 in February and mostly $109 low fare in March. April and May one way low fares are $79 with one date, April 12 at $40 for DFW-SAN.

SFO departures for $59 are only February into early March. Same date range for DFW-SFO $59 fares.

All in all, this is a great American Airlines fare for travel from California to Dallas. Getting back to California might cost a bit more than $40 if you can’t match two low fare dates for a round trip ticket.
