Club Carlson 5,000 bonus points for stays at two brands Jan 18–Mar 31, 2016

Club Carlson has a new winter promotion Brands to Love offer for 5,000 bonus points after stays at two different Club Carlson hotel brands from January 18 to March 31, 2016. This promotion bonus can only be earned one time. Registration is required prior to your stays.

Promotion terms do not state hotel reservation must be made during promotion period, so prior reservations for stays from January 18 to March 31 should qualify as long as you register for this offer before check-out and your stay falls completely within the promotion dates.

This 5K for two brand stays promotion should also combine with targeted offers Club Carlson members received last week for 10,000 or 20,000 bonus points for two to three stays, or in my case, elite members earn 20,000 points for seven nights from January 11 to March 31, 2016.

Loyalty Traveler – Club Carlson elite member 20,000 points after 7 nights Jan 11-Mar 31, 2016 (Jan 11, 2016).

Club Carlson has six hotel brands:

  • Radisson Blu
  • Radisson
  • Park Plaza
  • Park Inn
  • Country Inns & Suites
  • Quorvus Collection

Club Carlson Points and Cash stays and points-only stays are not qualifying stays for this offer.

Stays or nights paid for by redeeming points or by using Points + Cash are not Eligible Stays for purposes of this Promotion. You only need to register once, but you must register before checkout of the first Eligible Stay in order for that stay to count as a Promotion stay. Members can earn only one bonus during the Promotional Period (i.e., a maximum of 5,000 bonus points in this Promotion). Offer may not be combined with any other offer or promotion, may not be redeemed for cash or credit, and has no cash value.

Both the check-in and checkout dates of the stay must take place within the Promotional Period. Bonus Points will be credited to your account when the standard Gold Points are credited for the Eligible Stay and will usually be posted to a member’s account within 8 to 10 days after the activity through which they were earned.

The Promotion and its terms and conditions are subject to cancellation or change at any time. Participation in Club Carlson subject to the program terms and conditions. Void where prohibited or restricted by applicable law.

  1. These guys seem to have lost their touch. None of their promos seem even vaguely interesting. 5000 points for 2 stays?? 20,000 for **7** stays?? Yikes.

I just re-upped my business credit cards with them, for the 40K points they give you. Not sure if I will even try to do 10K spend because, although it gets you a hotel room anywhere, that “anywhere” is only in the U.S.

Any advice on Carlson? How are *you* playing the hotel room game these days?

  2. My stays with Club Carlson for the past three years have nearly always been on 2-for-1 elite rates in Europe. I only book USA hotels when there is a good value promotion like last year’s 30,000 points for 3-night stays. I did that promotion twice.

    http://loyaltytraveler.boardingarea.com/2015/01/24/club-carlson-46000-points-on-3-nights-250-stay/

There was a good rate in Amsterdam at Park Plaza Vondelpark ($75/night) during my trip next week, but the promotion value for Club Carlson did not persuade me to book that option. I am staying at higher rated Best Western hotels with $60 per night rates since I have $100 BW Travel Card credit. I’ll also work on my IHG Accelerate 2016 promotion.with five hotel nights by April 30.

Club Carlson is a decent offer relative to other chains, but 25,000 bonus points after 7 nights is not that valuable. I figure that is likely $600 in spend to earn about $100 rebate value in points.

I took the Hilton HHonors Diamond match for 2016 and my plans are to try and shift stays to Hilton, but I currently do not have too many hotel stays I need to book before April. Most of my travel is already booked.
