IHG Rewards Club Accelerate Q12016

My 55,000 bonus points IHG Accelerate offer

Tasks are stackable and it looks like I can complete four of my five tasks with 3 hotel nights and all five tasks with 6 hotel nights.

IHG Accelerate 2016-Q1 tasks

January Bonus Offer 5,000 points looks like a bonus task for all members. This task is not considered one of the tasks to earn the Achievement Bonus points.

Task 1: Stay once for 5,000 bonus points. [Complete this task in January and earn 10,000 bonus points with the January bonus offer.]

Task 2: Stay 5 nights for 10,000 bonus points.

Task 3: Stay two times at Holiday Inn for 9,600 bonus points.

Task 4: Stay 1 time on IHG Points and Cash rate for 5,400 bonus points.

Task 5: Pay for one stay with IHG Rewards Club credit card for 2,300 bonus points.

Complete 4 of 5 tasks for 17,700 Achievement bonus points.

All in all, these are easily achievable goals and I expect I will pick up at least 45,000 bonus points from 3 hotel nights with IHG.

I simply wish the bonus points from the current IHG Rewards Club Accelerate tasks would post to my account.

Does anyone know what this means:
“Earn 2,000 bonus points when you book 1 bonus points Package stay(s) ”
When I click BOOK NOW button it just takes me to the generic reservation page. What exactly is a “Bonus Points Package Stay?”. I go to the terms via
Subject to Bonus Points Package program Terms and Conditions, which eventually leads here,
    http://www.ihg.com/hotels/us/en/global/customer_care/member-tc#bonuspackages
So you must transfer miles to a program? Am I reading this correctly?
So I will receive 2,000 bonus points after receiving other bonus points which must be converted to miles?
Can IHG make this more confusing?

    My wife’s offer includes this:
“Earn double points starting with your second stay”
Does anyone know if this means the second stay must be at the same hotel you stayed at the first time or if your second stay must be in the same category of IHG hotel as the first or – neither?

    Terms didn’t really specify:
Earn double points starting with your second stay (up to 30,000 bonus points).
Must be an IHG® Rewards Club member and must register your member number in advance to participate in this Offer (“Registration”). Double bonus points listed above (up to 30,000 bonus points) will be awarded after the required number of Qualifying Stays have been consumed by the member at any IHG brand hotels between 1 January 2016 and 30 April 2016 (both dates inclusive) at InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites®, EVENTM or HUALUXETM hotels worldwide. Stays at Holiday Inn Resorts® , Holiday Inn Select and the Holiday Inn Club Vacation® properties count as Stays at the Holiday Inn® brand and Stays at InterContinental Alliance® Resort properties count as Stays at the InterContinental brand.

@Kent C. – Second stay simply means your second stay on a paid rate at any IHG hotel. No need to be same hotel or same brand.

Double points is generally not a good offer since it is based on your hotel spend. The best offers are ones that allow few nights to earn lots of bonus points.

Bonus points package is actually an easy task to complete. Many hotels offer bonus points for a higher room rate of $10 to $30 for 2,000 to 5,000 bonus points.

Ignore the miles side of the chart. That is for IHG Rewards Club members who set their account to earn airline miles.

You are better off with IHG bonus points packages.
