American has a low fare of $764 round trip from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Santiago, Chile SCL for departures over the next six weeks. United also has $764 from San Francisco, but fares are in $800s from Los Angeles. Copa and Avianca have some dates with fares in the $730s to $750s, but more route stopovers.
Santiago SCL does not go on sale too often for California routes. I have seen American Airlines drop the fare to low $700s twice before in 2015. Copa had a fare at $619 round trip for LAX-SCL last May.
