Alaska 2016 Ski the West Fly 2 promo

In January 2015, I took advantage of the Alaska Airlines Ski the West promotion and flew round trip two times between San Francisco and Salt Lake City on two $96 tickets. I do not ski.

My first trip was a visit to Salt Lake City where I visited some hotels and downtown sites like Mormon Square, the State Capitol and several brewpubs. The next week I flew back to SLC and took the bus to Park City for a couple of days and nights at the Hyatt Park City while attending the Sundance Film Festival with lots of free concerts and free beer.

In April, I used my free Alaska Airlines ticket to fly to Vancouver, British Columbia for the price of taxes; $85.10 from San Jose, California.

This is a good deal. I’ll have to see if it works out with my 2016 travel plans.

What if the flights originate at a ski destination? Let’s say YVR-SEA-YVR and YVR-PDX-YVR

Based on the terms it seems like that would qualify, but don’t take my word for it. Check with Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan to verify.
