Tribute Portfolio is the 10th hotel brand for Starwood Hotels. There are currently two hotels open in Miami and London and two more opening in November 2015 in Palm Springs and Japan.
Starwood Preferred Guest has a 10,000 bonus points promotion for earning 2,000 bonus points per stay, on up to 5 stays between October 12 and December 20 at any of the Tribute Portfolio hotels open during the promotion.
A maximum of 10,000 bonus points per member may be earned through this offer. This promotion offer is combinable with other SPG promotions.
Tribute Portfolio 10K Promotion registration required by December 6, 2015.
Tribute Portfolio Hotels
Great Northern Hotel, King’s Cross, London.
Royal Palm South Beach Miami, Miami Beach, Florida
The Riviera Palm Springs, Palm Springs, California (link is hotel’s own website. No Starwood Hotels page yet. Palm Springs Riviera Hotel scheduled to open November 3, 2015 as Starwood Tribute Portfolio hotel).
The promotion ad display only mentions three Tribute Hotels as seen above. SPG’s Tribute 10,000 points promotion T&C read as if any open Tribute Portfolio hotel is participating in the offer, which makes me think the The Kiroro Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Yoichi-gun, Hokkaido, Japan opening November 19, 2015 will also be eligible for the 2,000 bonus points per stay, if it opens before December 20.
Starwood Hotels PR states the company plans to brand 100 Tribute Portfolio Hotels by 2020. That is a pace of nearly two hotels per month.
Starwood Hotels Global Hotel List, including new hotels in pipeline
Since Palm Springs and Japan do not have Starwood Hotels websites yet, the links on the Tribute Portfolio pages for these two hotels link to a master list of all Starwood Hotels worldwide, including hotels in the pipeline not yet open.
That list turned me on to an upcoming new Starwood Hotel for Napa County, California – Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley – Opening November 2016.
Napa Valley Register (Sep 9, 2014) – Las Alcobas hotel hosts ceremonial groundbreaking.
St. Helena Star (February 18, 2015) – Commission endorses 13 new hotel rooms at Las Alcobas. Interesting story about how hotel owners cut down protected oak tree, paid $750,000 to the city to get out of an affordable housing deal component of the original hotel project, plan to use less water for 70 rooms than originally estimated for 57 rooms and nightly rates projected to be $700 when hotel opens in 2016.
