United Airlines dropped fare to $766 round trip for United-operated economy flights from San Francisco SFO to Mumbai in a one-stop itinerary via Newark EWR. There are also Swiss Airlines codeshare flights at the same ticket price for Zurich to Mumbai when flying United to Zurich via IAD Washington DC Dulles. There are some Lufthansa options too at the low fare.
These same low fares are also available for departures from LAX.
Departure dates are October through March 2016 most days of the week, with the exception of mid-December into January 2016.
