Hyatt Hotels by the numbers 2015 Q2

Numbers from hotel chain financial statements usually include average daily rates for different brands and the number of hotels. Hyatt Hotels released its 2015 Q2 financial statement in early August.

Hyatt Hotels average daily rates by brand during Q2 2015

Park Hyatt $312.64; occupancy 68.8%.

Andaz $335.39; occupancy 80.7%.

Grand Hyatt $238.53; occupancy 77.7%.

Hyatt $199.28; occupancy 81.0%.

Hyatt Regency $177.98; occupancy 75.2%.

Hyatt Place $125.40; occupancy 80.1%.

Hyatt House $142.10; occupancy 83.6%.

Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt brands have seen room rates drop from 2014 levels. These two brands are more heavily represented outside the USA with currency fluctuation from a stronger dollar and weakness in some travel markets, particularly Asia-Pacific and India.

Average room rates dropped in 2015 Q2 compared to one year ago for Europe-Middle East-Africa, Southwest Asia with India in decline and Asia Pacific region. Only Americas saw room rates rise.

  • 246 select service  hotels (Hyatt Place and Hyatt House) $129.76 (rate up 6.6% year-over-year).

Asia Pacific

  • 55 full service hotels =  $214.50; occupancy 69.0% (rate down 6.9% year-over-year).

Europe/Middle East/Africa/SW Asia

  • 56 full service hotels =  $211.60; occupancy 66.8% (rate down 13.2% year-over-year).

  • ADR = $184.11
  • Occupancy = 77.1%
  • 1.0% rate growth system-wide year-over-year.
