American Airlines still has some $99 to $119 round trip fares between Los Angeles and Chicago for departure dates from September to November 2015. Last week had the opening round of deep discount airfare for USA domestic travel in the fall months with routes around the country dropping to $35 to $50 one way on American and United Airlines competing with low cost fares from Southwest, JetBlue, Frontier and Spirit sales.
There are not too many really low domestic fares remaining on legacy carrier routes today, but Los Angeles LAX – Chicago ORD is still around on several dates including some Saturdays over the next three months.
There is no minimum stay requirement for these tickets.
