Today is a good day for low fares to South Africa. Delta and Skyteam Alliance have low $879 fares from LAX to JNB, Johannesburg, South Africa. United and Star Alliance have fares as low as $882 round trip.
This fare is close to the lowest fare ($853) I saw back in June for November travel with SkyTeam airlines.
Oneworld Alliance fares start at $930 round trip with fewer low fare departure dates.
The difference in this sale from previous sales to JNB are travel departure dates from LAX start next week in August 2015 and run through May 2016. Low fares in previous sales were primarily for departures beginning in November 2015. SFO has far fewer low fare dates and only for late October to early December departures.
