American Airlines and British Airways offer round trip flights from Stockholm to San Francisco at $408 round trip for flights from November to March 2016and many other airports in Europe at fares far lower than tickets originating in San Francisco. Late August to October has low airfare from $480 to $486 on select dates. The fare is several hundred dollars more originating in San Francisco to Stockholm round trip.

These look like some good fares to consider. If I am successful with my AAdvantage Executive Platinum Challenge for 30,000 EQM by October 9 for status through February 2017, these $409 fares can earn over 25,000 redeemable miles per ticket.
Skyteam Alliance carriers Delta, KLM and Air France offer fares around $525 round trip for ARN-AFO and Star Alliance with Lufthansa and SAS have $550 ropund trip fares.
Los Angeles looks to price about $150 more round trip at low $600s.
