My fantastic American AAdvantage elite fast-track offer

American AAdvantage sent me an email for a fantastic targeted elite fast-track offer. Currently, I do not have any elite level membership with AAdvantage. In 2013, I was American AAdvantage Platinum elite and I flew US Airways to San Francisco to Dublin last November.

Here is my fantastic American AAdvantage elite fast-track offer:

AAdvantage elite fast-track 2015 offer

AAdvantage Gold only requires 6,000 elite-qualifying miles EQM. A single round-trip to Europe, South America or Asia can earn AAdvantage Platinum with 12,000 elite-qualifying miles. I’ll be looking for the return of those $600 fares to Brazil.

SFO-GIG $558 AA June 2010

San Francisco to Rio de Janeiro via JFK is 14,444 EQM. This $558 fare is from May 2015. I’ll be searching for deals like this over the next month.

At 30,000 EQM, I can earn Executive Platinum with the elite benefit of systemwide upgrades and waived award fees. That elite level can be reached in two long-haul international trips.

Elite status with this offer is valid through February 28, 2017.

I had to register for this offer by July 7. My registration was completed yesterday.

Needless to say, my future air travel plans for August and September will be focused on Oneworld airlines. I was planning to take a trip somewhere in the USA in September. Now, it looks like I will be planning an international trip or two when another low fare long-haul itinerary comes around with Oneworld airlines.

Check your email.

Holy cow! How do I get one of these offers? I’ve already got trips booked that would get me to ExPlat!

In the past 30 minutes I have found American Airlines itineraries to Rio de Janeiro and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam that will earn 30,000 EQM for $1,700.

    SFO-LAX-NRT-SGN is $884.40 September 2015 for 17,022 EQM.

SFO-JFK-GIG is 14,745 EQM round trip for $850. SFO – Sao Paulo is $723.

    Choices and decisions to contemplate.

I’d really like to know if anyone else got this offer. I’m afraid they will see that I have two booked trips coming up and not extend this offer, since I would easily qualify. Oh well.

I agree – how do we get this offer? I am lifetime Platinum (almost to 3MM – got lifetime at 2MM), but I have never made Exec Platinum. We are flying FIRST DFW-LHR, CDG-DFW over the next 14 days. I might be able to get Exec Platinum if I could sign up for this!

Email title is “Fast track to AAdvantage elite status” and I received it June 19.

The email lists my AAdvantage number and included a 5-digit alphanumeric code to enter on the fast-track promotion registration page.

The web address is specific to my account and the page shows my AAdvantage number which is why I do not have a link to share.

Thank Ric. No luck here, unfortunately. Maybe it’s because I’m lifetime Gold already.

I don’t hear about a lot of these going out. Do you think it might have been targeted to media/travel industry types?

  • […] I might knock out the AAdvantage 30,000 EQM with two trips to Rio de Janeiro. This route can be ticketed for $529 originating in Brazil and routing through New York.
