United Airlines had Cancun on sale for as low as $262 from American-US Airways hub airports across the USA today according to The Flight Deal.
The Flight Deal posts their airfares early in the day and now I see that American Airlines and US Airways strike back with $259 to $262 fares from their hub airports at Phoenix, Dallas, Philadelphia, Charlotte and St. Louis.

San Francisco also has a few dates in August at $271, but there appears to be far more low dates from other airports listed above.
Apparently there is a 50 day advance purchase fare, so this deal is only available for last week of July and month of August dates.
