Days Inn hotel and travel deals 2015-Q2 Ramada Inn Wyndham Rewards Wyndham Worldwide

Pick up a quick 9,000 Wyndham Rewards points for about $110 to $130

This post shows how you can buy 5,000 Wyndham points for $55, then stay one night at a Wyndham Brand hotel and you will have 9,000 points that can save hundreds of dollars on three future hotel nights.

Wyndham Rewards, the loyalty program for the largest hotel chain worldwide, upended its loyalty program this week with the introduction of all hotels at 15,000 points per reward night with its Go Free program and 3,000 points + cash with its Go Fast program.

1. Join Wyndham Rewards

2. Get points, if you need them – Buy 5,000 points for $55 at Wyndham Rewards.

Wyndham Rewards buy points.

The limitation of buying Wyndham Rewards points is not price at $11.00 per 1,000 points. You can easily find Go Fast rewards where points are worth $30 to $40 per 1,000 points. The limitation is a maximum purchase of 5,000 points per calendar year. $55 is all you can spend per member for 5,000 points each January to December. Good news is you can buy 5,000 points today and another 5,000 points January 1, 2016.

You must have Wyndham Rewards member login status to see the Points.com price for points and terms.

Wyndham Buy 5000points

Third paragraph has statement:

A maximum of 5,000 Wyndham Rewards Points can be purchased and received in a single calendar year.

Now you, and hopefully a partner, have 5,000 Wyndham Rewards points in your account.

Book a Paid Stay before September 7, 2015 at any Wyndham brand hotel and earn 4,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

Wyndham Rewards hotel loyalty program renewed design launched this week with a summer promotion offer of 3,000 bonus points on your first eligible stay by September 7, 2015. The new program also guarantees 10 points per dollar or 1,000 points, whichever is greater, on each hotel stay.

Your first paid hotel stay this summer season earns 4,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

How I might play Wyndham this summer: Drive Out of Florida Road Trip

In four weeks I will be driving from Florida into Georgia on a five day road trip.

Last year when I was driving from St. Augustine to Savannah, Georgia I passed through the small town of Brunswick and the area looked like an interesting place to hang out with nearby St. Simon’s Island and Jekyll Island.

There are 27 Wyndham brand hotels in the area.

Ramada Brunswick receives 4 of 5 circles on TripAdvisor ratings with a room rate $67.19 after tax.

This stay will earn 4,000 Wyndham Rewards points. This is an example of how a member can buy 5,000 points for $55 and earn 4,000 points for $67.19 to get an account balance of 9,000 points for $122.19 and one hotel night.

Days Hotel Savannah at Ellis Square

Assume 5,000 points were purchased from Wyndham Rewards (I already have 20,000 points) and I can travel from Brunswick to Savannah and book the Days Hotel Savannah at Ellis Square, the same square where you find Andaz Savannah. This hotel on a Friday night in June is $248.47 for a King Standard Room.

Days Inn Savannah

Days Inn Savannah Queen $237

Go Fast award rate for this date is 3,000 points + $75.

Days Hotel Savannah at Ellis Square Go Fast $85.75. This is a $118.75 total hotel spend stay after paying $33 to buy Wyndham Rewards points and booking a Go Fast Stay for 3,000 points + $85.75.

Buying 5,000 Wyndham points for $55, along with a low cost stay saves $118 on a weekend hotel night in historic Savannah, Georgia. This is a 50% savings on the Days Hotel Savannah regular rate of $237.17 after tax.

Days Inn Savanna Go Fast $86

Total spend = $208 for two hotel nights in Brunswick and Savannah and 6,000 points remain for two more Go Fast discount award rates on future hotel stays.

Super 8 is a Wyndham hotel brand with an average daily rate for 2015 Q-1 $48.46. Chances are there is a Super 8 somewhere near you for under $50 per night.

Pick up a quick 9,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

Buy 5,000 points $55 – Earn 4,000 points on first paid stay $50 – Then, you have sufficient points to book 3 nights on Go Fast award rates.

For some reason I feel like there will be so many restrictions on these 15K nigts before I ever accumulate enough to benefit from it. I hope I’m wrong, that’s just what I feel

Hey Ric, how do you view Go Fast availability when searching for rates?

  • Tyler May 14, 2015

I see only a 3,000 point bonus with one stay, not 4,000.

Also Travel Lodge/Nights Inn would count as well right?

  • Wes May 14, 2015

@tyler It’s a 3,000 point bonus, plus the 1,000 point minimum for the stay. Total 4,000.

@Wes – Click the box to use Wyndham Rewards points and Go Free 15,000 points and Go Fast 3,000 points + cash amount show.

I check the box to see points amounts and then unclick it and I am shown both cash rates and points rates.

There are many rates and you have to click through them left to right horizontally.

@Tyler – 3,000 bonus points on First stay + 1,000 minimum base points earned for any stay at a Wyndham brand hotel..
