Somehow I found myself on a webpage for the Hilton Ngapali Resort & Spa Myanmar and I was amused by the notice at the top of the hotel’s webpage:
“Due to monsoon weather, our swimming pool is closed June-September 2015 inclusive. Alternative leisure activities will be arranged.”
I can imagine some Americans booked on HHonors points for a week with no regard for the weather, expecting a poolside stay in the sun. Four months is a long pool closure.
