SPG Hot Escapes, the weekly Wednesday hotel rate discount offer, is relatively sparse this week with only 89 hotels listed today.
Hotel des Indes in The Hague, Netherlands at $135 to $144 on weekends is a fine hotel with historic character.
Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport is on this week’s list with rates as low as $101 USD. I walked to the Four Points a couple of weeks ago when staying near YVR. There are several Korean BBQ places around the hotel.
Sheraton Vistana Villages Resort Villas, I-Drive/Orlando $106 May 25-28 is a good rate for a Memorial Day holiday vacation in the sunshine state.
Koh Samui and Bangkok, Thailand
I read a travel report today indicating Bangkok is one of the five top travel destinations searched by Europeans.
There are several Thailand hotels on this week’s SPG Hot Escapes.
W Retreat Koh Samui at $507 per night hardly seems like a discount rate, but you can find that rate for every date in May 2015.
Vana Belle, Luxury Collection Resort Koh Samui is a bit less at $312 per night.
Le Meridien Koh Samui Resort at $142 per night lets you slum it with Starwood. This is shows as a 51% savings on regular rates.
Bangkok has far lower rates available in the $90s with Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers on the river. I stayed at this hotel in 2004 and I preferred the location to higher class hotels away from the water.
SPG Hot Escapes rates are prepaid and nonrefundable rates. These rates are available for booking stays over the next six weeks. Rates must be booked before midnight local hotel time on Saturday, May 2.
