If you’re an ExecPlat & 1K this is the equivalent of approximately $1250 on AA with the mileage earning, so this is NOT a good deal as AA has $900 flights.

Now great deal if you rarely travel and have no status and no intent on earning miles.

@Scott – Most flyers are not AA Executive Platinum or United 1K and do not want to pay $900 when a $547 flight is available.
