If you book the flights on the American Website, won’t AA members earn the full 100% Miles?

  • Ric Garrido April 1, 2015

@Ven – thanks for pointing out that the outbound are AA codeshares and earn 100% flight miles. That is a big boost.

I think inbound JAL marketed flights only earn 30% flight miles.

  • Ven April 1, 2015

My understanding would be that all flights would be considered AA marketed since you are booking on their website.

  • Ric Garrido April 1, 2015

@Ven – you may be correct. I have not flown an AA booked international ticket on a partner airline in a couple years.

  • Karung99 April 1, 2015

Ric, I just come back from CGK using JAL and get EQM,EQP and also bonus miles if you purchase on AA.com and those are code share.

It is good to hear the rates have gone down.

  • Ric Garrido April 11, 2015

It is clearly stated in AAdvantage rules AA codeshares earn 100% miles. The flights shown in this article for the return on JAL flight numbers and not codeshares, which is why I expect these flights earn 30% miles for the return segments.
