Marriott adds Boscolo Exedra Nice, France to its Autograph Collection at category 9 for a hotel reward night at 45,000 points. Four Boscolo Hotels joined the Autograph Collection by Marriott in 2011, followed by Boscolo Milano and Boscolo Exedra Roma in late 2013. Boscolo Exedra Nice, Autograph Collection fills a luxury gap on the French Riviera in Nice city with only an AC hotel prior to this point in time.
Boscolo Exedra Nice is a fully restored 1913 hotel on the French Riviera by architect Charles Dalmas in the Belle Epoque style. The hotel features 112 guest rooms with six junior suites and three specialty suites.
Here is Marriott’s press release description of the hotel:
Boscolo Exedra Nice roomThe recent renovations have been crafted by internationally renowned architects and designers; among them Maurizio Papiri, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Sergio Minorello and Simone Micheli. The lobby is steeped in old-world grandeur and contemporary style with marble columns and hints of sweeping glass that echo early 20th century style. The theme throughout is neutral, with pastel hues in white and cream inspiring a serene and tranquil atmosphere.
The 112 rooms include a Presidential Suite, an Executive Suite and a Boscolo Duplex Suite along with six Junior Suites looking out over the lively Boulevard Victor Hugo. All rooms feature a combination of marble and pale parquet flooring, gilding details, furnishings draped in crisp white linens and fragrant fresh flowers. Designed to offer guests a spacious sojourn in the city, some rooms even feature modular systems that allow the room space to increase to surface areas of up to 130m2.
Located within the hotel, La Pescheria is a celebrated restaurant and quintessential meeting point led by its Italian head chef Giuseppe Mandaradoni. The restaurant aims to attract diners from Nice and beyond with its legendary “catch of the day” menu. Specialities are made with the freshest local produce and served in a free-flow space with a low-key ambience. International chefs demonstrate their skills on independent cooking stations dotted around the room, and the restaurant operates themed evenings. For laid-back lunchtime fare, Bar Genesi dishes up Italian delicacies out on a terrazza tucked away in the foliage in front of the Boulevard.
For those seeking respite from the heat of the city, Boscolo Exedra Nice has just the ticket with 500m2 of exclusive wellness space designed by Simone Micheli. The sleek, modern area features a fitness room, a wet area with a sauna, a Turkish bath and Vichy showers and a team room all set around an indoor swimming pool. At its centre, a feature tree sculpture delivers powerful waterjets from its branches, offering guests a unique and invigorating in-pool massage experience. Within the high-tech treatment rooms, expert therapists perform a variety of face and body treatments with high quality products such as Algotherm marine cosmetics.
Business travellers will find an elegant conference centre with 140m2 of flexible, sunlit space with soaring ceilings and all necessary amenities. Accommodating up to 150 people, the expansive space – with private rooms, suites – offers personal service and exquisite catering options. In addition, both the indoor space and alfresco terrace are available for a variety of events and functions, including weddings, cocktail parties and gala dinners.
