Hyatt Hotels bought a stake in Playa Hotels & Resorts 13-property chain in 2013 that lets them rebrand hotels to Hyatt Ziva family-friendly all-inclusive resorts and Hyatt Zilara adults-only resorts.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos was damaged in September by a hurricane.

After Hurricane Odile’s passage through the Baja California Peninsula on the evening of September 13, 2014, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos temporarily closed for repairs and is now accepting reservations from April 30, 2015 and beyond. For questions about upcoming reservations, please contact +1 800 323 7249 or +1 402 492 6465.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

Late in August, I posted an analysis of hotel rates at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall for November 17-20 based on a 50% off promotion. Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall Montego Bay, Jamaica coming in 2014.

Reservations made in August for Nov 17-20 could have meant a blown vacation since the Jamaica hotels are now opening November 23.

I could not find availability for the 5th night free rate in November and December 2014 for Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Rates are as low as $324 per night in December for $1,620 on a 5-night stay. That is a lower rate than next March for the same room type with 5th night free rate. The same entry-level Ziva King room was $360 per night in Hyatt’s 50% off August sale. The current pricing for November and December 2014 shows a Ziva Club Level Ocean View King for $360 per night.

Hyatt Ziva RH 50rate

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Montego Bay, Jamaica

March 15-March 20, 2015.

  • Grand Opening Rate $480 per night, Ziva King
  • AAA Discount $864 per night.
  • Hyatt Daily Rate $960 per night.
  • 5th night free rate should price at $1,920.
  • Dec 7-12 50% off rate is $324/night without 5th night free at $1,620.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall used to be the Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall.

5-night stay for two persons, all inclusive plan = $2,400 with last night free. The rate does not show as reduced on the website.

Hyatt Ziva Oceanfront King is as low as $387 per night or $1,935 for 5 nights in December.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall looks to price around $40 to $60 more per night for the same dates I checked Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall.

Both all inclusive Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall are 25,000 points per reward night for one or two persons.

Final Words

Five nights at an all-inclusive Hyatt Resort in Jamaica for $1,620 in December or $1,920 in March might be your style for a vacation.

The regular Hyatt Daily Rates seem ridiculously high to me. Time will tell how much rates drop in the first year. Hyatt’s Grand Opening 50% off rates posted in August are 10% less now for November and December dates.

The better value looks to be spending cash rather than points at these resorts based on grand opening 50% rates currently available for 2015 bookings.

The Hyatt in Jamaica is a little pricey for families. A basic room runs for almost $2000 during spring break and about $1500 with tax during hurricane season August – October for 2 adults and 2 children so 50% off and you are still paying $750-$1000 per night is pretty expensive…

@Greg – Hyatt in Jamaica is pricey for most people. That type of resort is not my kind of vacation.
