Hotel Loyalty 2014-Q3 hotel promotions IHG One Rewards InterContinental Hotels Group

IHG Rewards Club–We are sorry, but there was an error.

Do not think you are alone for all of you who read the IHG Rewards Club Into the Nights offers posted by Mommy Points and One Mile at a Time this morning, clicked the link, entered your membership number and PIN, to see this message:

IHG Into the Nights

“We are sorry, but there was an error. Please try again later.”

I logged into my account and searched around the links. There is no offer posted to my account yet.

Don’t you love targeted loyalty promotions?

Guess I can write a GrawliX-Files post instead. There has been some crazy s#@t happening in Mallorca, Spain this summer.

Or perhaps I’ll post some photos of Oslo, Norway from my afternoon walk today in the brilliant sun and 70F temperature.

IHG Rewards Club has many of us in the dark this Thursday, advertised as the launch of the new IHG Rewards Club Into the Nights promotion.

I had this problem also, then remembered my earning style was set to miles not points, once I switched it back to points my offers showed up.

I got the error.. but then got an email from IHG that I was enrolled in the promotion. The problem? In the body of the email, next to the Promotion code… it was blank. So I’m not sure if I am enrolled in this promo or not…

I got the same error including the email telling me I was enrolled.

At this point I am able to log in for both my and my wife’s account, but my account shows a bogus promotion.

My wife’s seems lucrative – I think we can get about 86,000 points for only 3 stays

I got in fine, but would have to do 20 stays, including 18 breakfast packages, and 3 Saturdays to get 50K points.

I didn’t complete the last Big Win (and haven’t had a paid stay at an IHG property since). I won’t even register for this one.

Followed your link, logged into the account and this popped up:

    13800 points—book 7 nights
    3800 points–book 4 stays thru website
    100 take a survey
7200 stay at 2 holiday inn hotels
    2000 apply for credit card
    26900 total points
    23100 pointsby completeing 4 of 6

7 nights will be difficult for me unless I am traveling for work.

I got the error this morning. A few hours later, my offer came up, and I got the same bland confirmation email as Juno. A couple ofhours later, I re-logged in to reviewmy offer, and that time received the correct confirm email.

    So just have patience.

    Or persistence.

I got hosed on this deal because I guess I’m too loyal.

    I got and email with:
    14,000 Stay more
Stay 19 nights at any of IHG’s 4,700 hotels worldwide
8,000 Book on the IHG App
Sign in to your IHG App and book 2 stays. The IHG App allows you to get mobile-exclusive rates, access your virtual membership card and more.
    4,000 Stay Smart
Stay at 5 Holiday Inn® Express hotels

When I log into the link I get
    Oops, an error occured
This exception has been logged with id 6jdmpo3pc.

19 !!!!!!! nights for a 14k bonus, wow. It’s almost enough to get me to move my business to Marriott.

Tried again with no luck. The webpage sent me on a revolving door of entering my membership number and PIN, then my email. Then back to my membership number and account PIN.

    Then finally,

“We are sorry, but there was an error. Please try again later.”
