USA Marriott brand hotels have a special rate offer for the first week of July during the Fourth holiday and weekends in July at 15% off Best Available Rate on stays of three nights or more. This deal is offered at hotels across the USA using rate code 5AH.
I checked several participating hotels before I found this rate available for booking. At hotels where I did find the rate, the deal was sometimes better than AAA and sometimes higher.
With a 3-night Thursday to Sunday minimum stay requirement at 15% discount, there are many hotels that offer third night free in Hyatt and Starwood and other brands.
There might be a Marriott deal here for some travelers.
