SPG Hot Escapes for Category 6 and 7 hotels

This week’s SPG Hot Escapes has 128 hotels with several Category 6 and Category 7 hotels. Most of the high category hotels do not look like bargain rates, although there are a couple of relatively low rate, high category hotels in off-season.

    Have you noticed that the rate above for a couple of these properties is based on single occupancy? For example, I was going to book the St. Regis Florence for 355 euros but when I change it to two people the rate jumps to 425 euros.

    @DP81 – those crazy European hotels. Personally I would book the room for one and show up with my partner. St. Regis Florence shows King bed or two singles. Obviously this will not work if the room is actually one single bed.

    After a quick search on FlyerTalk, there appears to be no work around to the higher rate for two people.
