The question on my mind two weeks ago at the Radisson and Radisson Blu Americas Conference was, “What happened to Hotel Missoni?” as Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced the creation of Quorvus Collection, a new luxury brand for the hotel chain.
Chances are as a Club Carlson member you never heard of the luxury brand Hotel Missoni. It never participated in Club Carlson and rarely was mentioned on the hotel chain’s website pages, except as a logo.
There are only two hotels globally in Edinburgh, Scotland and Kuwait.
Hotel Missoni was a partnership between Rezidor Hotel Group and the Italian family Missoni fashion house.
Hotel Missoni to rebrand June 2014
The partnership between Carlson Rezidor and Missoni ended December 31, 2013. The two Hotel Missoni properties will be rebranded in June 2014.
Are these to be the first hotels in the new Quorvus Collection?
Hotel Missoni Kuwait opened three years ago in March 2011. Edinburgh opened in 2010. HotelChatter.com did several stories on the two hotels and a bunch of teaser stories on Missoni Hotels in Mauritius, Turkey, Qatar, Macau. Places where Hotel Missoni never opened.

At least we should earn Club Carlson points and stay credit for Quorvus Collection hotel stays when the new luxury brand of Carlson Rezidor Group debuts later this year.
