Wyndham 2,014 bonus points or triple miles Oct 15-Jan 31, 2014

Wyndham Rewards has new bonus points and miles promotions for hotels stays from October 15 to January 31, 2014. The main promotion and likely the better offer for most Wyndham Rewards members is 2,014 bonus points per stay, beginning with the second stay, for up to five stays.

2,014 bonus points for 2nd through 5th stays is 10,070 bonus points in addition to the 10 points per dollar at all Wyndham hotel brands, except 5 points per dollar at Hawthorn Suites.

Registration for Wyndham Rewards 2014 bonus is required before your first stay is eligible. Miles earners are not eligible for this bonus.

Triple Miles with Wyndham Rewards Airline Partners

Wyndham Rewards offers triple miles with any of 19 airline partners as an alternative offer for miles earners.

Most airline partners will earn 6 miles per dollar for triple miles stays (2nd, 3rd and 4th stays) at all participating: Wingate by Wyndham, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Baymont, Microtel, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Knights Inn.

Most airline partners will earn 1,500 miles for triple miles stays (2nd, 3rd and 4th stays) at all participating: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hawthorn, TRYP by Wyndham, DREAM hotels, NIGHT.

Triple Miles Registration is required.

Points or Miles analysis

In general, I think points are the better offer. Wyndham Rewards has a great points-to-miles transfer rate where 8,000 points exchanges into 3,200 miles with most programs. This is a rate of 1000 points = 400 miles.

Your travel pattern determines which promotion is better. If you spend $500 for an extended stay at Ramada Inn, then miles might be a better deal.
