Most brand hotels in the economy market segment cost 5,500; 8,000; 10,000; 14,000 or 16,000 points per night in the USA and Canada. Major cities like New York tend to have higher reward rates.
Dream and Night are boutique upscale brands. Wyndham Hotels and Resorts tend to be 20,000 to 30,000 points per night.
Road travelers will find brands like Days Inn, Ramada, Super 8, Travelodge and Knights Inn in many rural locations where the only other chain hotels are likely to be brands in Choice Privileges.
Wyndham Rewards points reservations are easy to make. Several of my free nights on points were reserved when I arrived in a town ready for sleep and booked the hotel using Wyndham Rewards points while sitting in the hotel lobby, then walking over to the front desk for the room key.
All Wyndham Rewards hotel brands earn 10 points per dollar on room rate, except Hawthorn Suites extended stay hotels earn 5 points per dollar.
