My Experience with the Priority Club Sweepstakes points redemption

I’d actually call this Lucky Points Sweepstakes a raffle since the Priority Club member is redeeming points for a chance to win.

My account was sitting at 53,724 points. I thought it would be no real loss for me to spend up to 724 points and take my account down to 53,000+ points for a chance to win 250,000 points.

I purchased four tickets for 600 points to enter the Priority Club Rewards 250,000 points prize.

The beauty of this scheme for Priority Club is only 500 other people need to spend 600 points and Priority Club simply redistributes the points from 500 people to the winner and all the additional points redeemed by members are removed from the Priority Club books accounting all outstanding points.

Priority Club Sweepstakes Ate My Points

I wanted to buy an additional 100 points ticket for the iPad 32GB prize and that would be 700 points total out of my account.

This iPad prize page tells me:

Sorry! You have reached the maximum number of sweepstakes entries allowed per day.

Since when does 4 = 10?

I redeemed 600 points on four entries and already the page says I reached the maximum 10 entries per day.

Then I notice my account balance dropped to 51,924 when it should have been 53,124 after spending 600 points for my four prize entries.

The 600 points I redeemed for 4 entries into the 250,000 points prize was deducted three times from my account.

There is a limit of 10 entries per day, yet 1,800 points in my account were deducted for 12 entries. So do I have 12 actual entries into the sweepstakes?

Priority Club Rewards ate my points. And I do not even know if these points will really count for 12 sweepstakes entries.

Hey Priority Club! Can I have the 1,200 points added back to my account?

I’m not feeling so lucky in this Priority Club Lucky Points Sweepstakes.

Wonder how long this will take to get straightened out with Priority Club’s dreaded Interplanetary Call Center reps…

@james – The beauty of my blog is I throw out mishaps with the hotel loyalty programs and generally they proactively handle these situations by contacting me.

Saves a bit of time on my end and hopefully gets their system running more smoothly on the loyalty program side.

1,200 points are not worth enough to spend too much of my time trying to get them back.

Do you mind contacting me with your member number so we can correct the issue ASAP? Thanks!

It seems you were right 🙂

@Raffles – Yeah. Pretty cool to get special services online. Melissa got the points back in my account.
