SPG elites 6 months free CLEAR airport security

SPG Platinum and Gold elites received an email yesterday offering six months free membership to CLEAR fast-track airport security lines at airports in Denver (DEN), Orlando (MCO), San Francisco (SFO) and soon Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). This offer is valid for new CLEAR members only.

Existing members of CLEAR can receive a free one-year upgrade to CLEAR Family Plan which adds spouse or partner and children under age 18 when CLEAR member accompanies them at the airport.

This 6-month offer is for new members of Clear; however, if any existing Clear members wish to apply for it, Clear is allowing those members to get a complimentary upgrade to the Clear Family Plan. They just have to email memberservices@clearme.com and mention they are an existing SPG elite member.

    This is a scam, signed up as a new member with the 6 months promo code and was charged $179 right away on my amex…..

    Not a scam. The email you get back reflects the full price, but at least I was not billed. As long as you use the correct code you get the free 6 months. I was charged the normal 1.00 that services use to verify a cared transaction. Nothing more.

    I would suggest trying the email to CLEAR. I am SPG Gold and I received the email yesterday.
