Priority Club 4 days only 25% discount on gas gift cards

Priority Club has a Memorial Day weekend special over the next four days, May 25-28, to redeem points for gas gift cards at a 25% discount. Three gas retailers participate. Each gas company has their own gift card so you must choose your pumping preference.

GAS Gift Card Denominations and point redemption values:

$25 Gas Card = 8,250 points (regularly 11,000 points)

  • Redemption value = $3.03 per 1,000 points.

$50 Gas Card = 15,000 points (regularly 20,000 points)

  • Redemption value = $3.33 per 1,000 points.

$100 Gas Card = 28,500 points (regularly 38,000 points)

  • Redemption value = $3.51 per 1,000 points.

$200 Gas Card = 55,500 points (regularly 74,000 points)

  • Redemption value = $3.60 per 1,000 points.

These redemption values are likely far less than you will get with a hotel room redemption where you are likely to get at least $5.00 to $6.00 or more per 1,000 points, but if you have plenty of Priority Club points and need to save cash on gas, then these values are reasonable redemption rates.

I redeemed 15,000 points for $500 in room savings this week when the new PointBreaks list came out for stays through July 31, 2012. That is $33.33 per 1,000 points redemption value for 10x the gas card rate.

I’ll pay $100 cash for my gas driving to my Priority Club PointBreaks hotel stay in July.

According to this WebFlyer post, other Priority Club retailer gift cards will be discounted each week through Labor Day weekend.

    Not sure of the T&C but you might receive a 10% redemption rebate on these if a Priority Club VISA cardholder. Just something to add to the equation.

    @Patrick – good note since I never thought of the 10% rebate on gift cards as a Priority Club Visa member making this deal a little better.

    For readers – Priority Club Visa cardmembers get a 10% rebate on all Priority Club points redeemed for the year, up to 100,000 points rebate.

    “10% Rebate
    Please allow 4 to 6 weeks after Reward Night stay for rebated points to be deposited into your account, and 4 to 6 weeks after date of redemption for all other (non-Reward Night) redemption items. Maximum number of points to be rebated not to exceed 100,000 points in a calendar year. Priority Club reserves the right to reverse rebated points when redemption item has been returned. In order to receive points for redemption rebates, you must be a U.S. Priority Club Select Visa Card holder and your Priority Club Rewards account must be in good standing.
