U.S. Travel Association offers five weeks of Daily Getaways travel discounts Monday through Friday from April 9 to May 11, 2012. These discounts are mostly for hotel stays and loyalty points and car rental discounts. There are also theme park and tourism discounts. Quantities are limited and buyers need to be ready to make an immediate purchase when these items go on sale.
At this time the offers are posted only for the first three weeks of the 2012 five weeks of sales. The good news is the offers in 2012 for the first 15 of 25 days match the same brands offered in 2011 and mostly at the same prices. American Express payment reduces the purchase price 10%.
Several hotel loyalty programs offer the lowest priced points of the year and quantities far exceed the number of points a loyalty member is allowed to buy directly from the hotel loyalty program. Assuming the same brands participate should mean weeks 4 and 5 offer points from Hyatt Gold Passport and Choice Privileges and hotel stays from Club Carlson and Best Western.
